Muscle Pains & Spasms

Muscles that involuntary, forcibly, and uncontrollably contract, and can’t relax are known as muscle cramps, or spasms. While this condition can affect any muscles, it most commonly occurs on the thighs, calves, feet, hands, arms, and abdomen. Spasms in the calves are known as “Charley horses,” and a leg cramp that happens at night while asleep is called a “nocturnal leg cramp.” Muscle spasms often lead to muscle fatigue and pain.

According to research, the clinical use of LLLT for the rehabilitation of muscular disorders has provided good muscle responses. Studies conducted on stroke patients with spastic muscles found a significant reduction in pain intensity and increased time before muscle fatigue occurred. The results suggest that LLLT may be an effective treatment for muscle pain that results from spasms in stroke patients as well as in otherwise healthy people and athletes.
